Although the main purpose was this time only seeing the Ji Tong railway Bernd Seiler took us (his little group off steamlovers) along long parts of the line outside the pass. It takes some long train and bus rides bud proved to be worthwhile.
I hope you enjoy seeing some of it. I am not pretending to be a very good photographer I just enjoy it to travell among diffrent lines and take pictures.

24 augustus 2004 Bai Qi, provincie Binnen Mongolie, China. In de oude locwerkplaats vind nu nog onderhoud plaats aan stoom- en diesellocs. Stoomloc QJ7052 en diesel DF4d 4070 nog broederlijk naast elkaar. De DF4d zal echter spoedig gebruik kunnen maken van de nieuwe onderhoudswerkplaats die in augustus volop in aanbouw was. De QJ’s rest dan niets anders dan de snijbrander. De oekaze uitgevaardigd in Bei Jing dat alle stoom weg moet voor dat de Olympische spelen naar China komen speelt hierin helaas de belangrijkste rol. De stoomlocs zijn voor de Ji Tong Rly goedkoper in exploitatie dan de diesellocs. -
