Many years the NSM (Nederlands Spoorweg Museum) had a tram collection and was safe heaven for some interesting cars. Now the museum concentrates on railways and many trams are given to the various tram museum groups in NL.
The first museumtrams in The Netherlands were kept by the companies before WW2. In order to show something of there history. RET in Rotterdam started with horsecar 517 and electricmotors 1 & 11.
In Weert , Kruisstraat mister Kuhne stratted in his garden a private trammuseum. Among it Amsterdam GVBA Union 144 and trailer 739 survived, also Den Haag HTM 822. This small museum stopped after the owner died but credits to him.
