This 18 kilometer line was opened 23-8-1965 by the cokes-chemical combine. It used to have a long interurban extension to Donetsk were the line ended in a suburb without a connection to the Donetsk tramway. This interurban is closed and lifted some years ago. Also the line was handed over to the local municipal. There seems to be no investment at all. Some 28 KTM-5 cars are still around. They run surprisingly well on the very heavy railway type tracks.
